She works as chair of the Working Group on Discrimination against Women, and moderates “Missing: Testimonies of Syrian Women Deprived of Liberty” to focus attention on the dire situation of detainees, missing persons, and their families and relatives in Syria. The event, co-sponsored by the U.S. and European Union, featured testimony by four women from Syria.
