The three-day capacity-building training to ensure women’s meaningful representation in the Ethiopian National Dialogue organized by the Coalition for Women’s Voice in the National Dialogue (CWVND) for Benishangul Gumuz Region women wrapped up on May 19, 2023.
Fifty-two participants from Bilidigilu district of the Asossa zone attended on the third day of the training.
During the training, internally displaced women and farmers, youths and traders, housewives and elderly women, women from the public service, and local association members participated.
After the completion of the training, the participants said they are happy to get such kind of capacity building and express they could able to acquire a basic understanding of National dialogue and participation in the process.
At the end of the three-day training, the Coalition for Women’s Voice in the National Dialogue project manager, Aschalew Mathewos thanked the participants, the Benishangul Gumuz Region Women’s Association, and Ethiopian Women Lawyers Association, who are members of the CWVND, the Benishangul Gumuz regional state leadership, and the Asossa zone administrators for supporting the training in many ways.
